Applied Biophysics Forum in Drug Delivery 2025 – date announced
Malvern Panalytical has announced that the Applied Biophysics Forum in Drug Delivery will take place from 11 to 12 March 2025 at Rheingoldhalle – Mainz, Germany.
The Applied Biophysics Forum in Drug Delivery, now in its third year, will bring together researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders for two days of in-depth discussion and data exchange focused on lipid nanoparticle (LNP) and nucleic acid drug delivery.
Meet the co-organizers
As with previous years, Malvern Panalytical is working with a committee of leaders from across drug delivery research and development landscape to co-organize the event. Led by Malvern Panalytical’s Natalia Markova, the committee includes prominent figures like Camila Foged (Uni Copenhagen), Sven Even Borgos (SINTEF Industry), Heinrich Hass (NeoVac), Niels Delamotte (etherna), Hanna Barriga (SciLifeLab KTH), Luigi Calzolai (EC-JRC), Eric Ennifar (CNRS), Agnes Taylor (AstraZeneca), Rainer Böckmann (Friedrich Alexander University), and Jeremie Parot (SINTEF Industry).
Based on the collective experience and the feedback from the many engaged participants of the earlier forums, the committee has designed a program aimed at addressing the most pressing challenges in characterization of lipid-based delivery vectors and nucleic acid-based drug development, promising attendees insights from cutting-edge research in the field.
With a focus on biophysical and analytical technologies essential for addressing current challenges in LNP characterization, the Applied Biophysics Forum offers a cost-effective way to access actionable insights and real-world data. Attendees can expect a unique, close-knit conference atmosphere with multiple networking sessions, informal discussions over refreshments, and a casual evening meal designed to facilitate meaningful connections and to spark collaborations among peers from industry, academia, and regulatory sectors.
What’s on the agenda in 2025?
This year’s sessions will delve into key topics like:
- What is the current landscape of lipid-based drug development and the biophysical tools driving It forward?
- Biophysics in process & analytical development considering regulatory requirements
- Biophysical and computational approaches: Focus on lipids
- Biophysical and computational approaches: Focus on nucleic acids
- New insights with emerging technologies
- Future directions for the biophysics of drug delivery systems
Speakers at this year’s event include Adreas Wagner of Polymun Scientific, Nikhil Rautela of USP EUA, Eric Oude Blenke of Novo Nordisk A/S and many more. Eighteen speakers are already confirmed and the full list of confirmed speakers can be found on the event registration page (you can find the link for this below).
Present your research in drug delivery
Participants are encouraged to contribute to the program by submitting a poster abstract, with the authors of the top ten abstracts receiving an exclusive five-minute presentation slot.
All attendees can share their poster in the popular poster exhibition. Following feedback from last year’s attendees, the 2025 Applied Biophysics Forum will feature extended poster sessions, spanning both days of the event. Attendees are encouraged to submit abstracts by December 16th for the chance to be included in the event’s program – the organizing committee will select the best abstracts for short presentations in scientific sessions.
Why you should attend
Natalia Markova, event coordinator and Head of Science (Pharmaceuticals) at Malvern Panalytical, notes, “Our goal with the Applied Biophysics Forum is to create an open space where scientists can discuss the latest advances, best practices, and evolving technologies in nucleic acid drug delivery. We invite scientists focused on nucleic acid formulations to join us in Mainz for a collaborative, hands-on learning experience.”
Early bird tickets are on sale now at EUR 450 and are available until December 16th. Thereafter standard tickets will be available at EUR 550. For more information and registration, please visit the Applied Biophysics Forum event page on the Malvern Panalytical website.
