OmniTrust: Making the impossible possible!

What’s OmniTrust all about?
OmniTrust is a new solution from Malvern Panalytical which is ideal for those working in the regulated environment. OmniTrust was launched for our Zetasizer Advance range of dynamic light scattering (DLS) instruments, and for our X-ray diffraction (XRD) portfolio including Aeris and Empyrean, in late 2020. And now we’re bringing out a new version of OmniTrust with lots of novel features and capabilities! Do you see now why I’m excited?
Making our customers happy!
I’ve been part of the Malvern Panalytical family for 8 years now, and for half this time I have worked directly with our customers in the pharmaceutical industry, as an XRD application scientist. My focus is on the way our customers use the instruments, and how I can help them improve their experience and make their daily routines more efficient – and hence make them a bit happier. Isn’t that what we all want?!
How to tick all the boxes
When we started working on the OmniTrust project, our goal was to create a solution that ‘ticks all the boxes’ for regulatory guidance (21 CFR Part 11 perhaps being the best-known). But we also wanted to combine all the useful features we have developed for various Malvern Panalytical product lines over the years, and retire the functionalities that are considered less user-friendly. In order to achieve this, we’ve spoken to many users of different analytical instruments and shaped our solution to answer the real needs of the people who work in the regulated environment. Here’s what they told us after seeing OmniTrust in action:

Making a solution for everyone
Malvern Panalytical X-ray diffractometers are famous for being multi-purpose instruments, which allow our users to combine various applications and measurement modes in a single machine. The clear advantage is that various pharmaceutical challenges (solid form selection, stability studies, polymorph screening, and validation) can be tackled using a single platform. This makes our instruments the perfect choice both for a central analytical facility and for quality assessment laboratory. However, this also brings the challenge of creating a solution for multiple environments with different levels of adherence to the regulatory norms.
We are confident that we’ve managed to create a fully flexible solution that allows our customers to tailor their way of working depending on the task at hand, and always in a fully-compliant way.
