Biopharmaceutical impurities have long been associated with undesirable clinical reactions. It is essential, therefore, that the purity profiles of such drugs are characterized with the most sensitive analysis methods available. Dynamic light scattering is widely used for this purpose, due to its high sensitivity to larger particles, and its ability to resolve trace amounts of such particles from smaller entities (such as the API monomer). In addition, the DLS-derived dynamic virial coefficient can be used as a predictor of aggregation propensity, highly useful for formulation screening. This webinar will investgate how and why the Zetasizer range of instruments is widely used to carry out such types of analysis.
