Save the date: “Advances in Microcalorimetry 2020” – Join us in Bethesda, Maryland this October

Are you:

• Interested in finding out more about microcalorimetry and how you can apply these tools to advance your biomolecular characterization studies during drug discovery, drug development, or life science research?
• A new user of Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) or Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)?
• A current ITC/DSC user, and want the opportunity to learn the “latest and greatest” on ITC and DSC,  and microcalorimetry “tips and tricks” from other users and experts in the field?
• A manager of a core lab/shared instrument facility with ITC and/or DSC systems?
• Doing cool research and want to share your findings with peers?

If any of these apply to you, consider attending the “Advances in Microcalorimetry 2020” conference, held October 20 – 21, 2020. The conference, sponsored by Malvern Panalytical,  is held at the Bethesda (Maryland) Marriott.

The meeting focus is on applications, best practices, data analysis and “What’s new” in ITC and DSC.

Everyone is welcome, from scientists considering adding ITC or DSC to their analytical toolbox,  to experienced calorimetrists. Speakers will be ITC and DSC experts with Malvern Panalytical and scientists from both academia and industry. There will be time for networking with attendees.

The meeting starts with workshops on ITC and DSC experimental design and data analysis.  There will be 1 ½ day of scientific presentations on the use of ITC and/or DSC during drug discovery and development, characterization of proteins, enzymes,  lipids, nucleic acids, and other biopolymers, as well as novel applications for ITC and DSC and new data analysis tools.  The evening of October 20 will be a reception with a poster session.  We will be updating the program and speakers on the meeting website, so be sure to check in regularly for the latest program.

We are also accepting speaker proposals until April 30. If your submission is accepted we will send you further information about times, formats, etc.

Presentations and posters should share research and results that utilized ITC and/or DSC, to characterize biomolecular interactions and biopolymer stability as part of the study.
