On Thursday 15th June, representatives from Malvern Panalytical’s headquarters in Malvern attended the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards at the University Arena in Worcester.
Malvern Panalytical was nominated in two categories: Manufacturer of the Year and Employer of the Year. These are areas of the business where a commitment has been made to ensure that the company’s people are firmly at the heart of their strategy and that workflows are always lean yet innovative.
Malvern Panalytical was delighted to secure the Employer of the Year Award, in recognition of the company’s effective, ‘values-based, high-performance culture’ and its concerted effort to share business updates with each and every staff member. This in-depth approach has proven to increase overall engagement between the business and its people, reflected in the results of the annual ‘Connect’ engagement survey where 20% growth in participation was achieved in 2022 from the previous year.
Although the company did not win the Manufacturer of the Year Award, the dedication and diligence of Malvern Panalytical’s production staff and management teams did not go without recognition as the team placed a worthy "highly commended”. This result was a true testament to the quality of the technologies manufactured and the efficient workflows developed by the business.
However, winning the Employer of the Year category put the company in contention for the final award of the evening. To the team’s delight, Malvern Panalytical secured the final award (the winner of winners), Business of the Year 2023!
Thrilled with the team’s achievements, Isla Buchanan, Strategy Program Director at Malvern Panalytical, said: “I am so pleased that we have been recognised as Employer and Business of the Year! It’s an incredible feeling to receive such high praise from the judges and the Chamber of Commerce, and it is well-deserved by the entire team at Malvern Panalytical.
“This recognition is a true testament to how incredibly hard our people work every day to deliver quality products and services to our customers, and it highlights our commitment to nurturing a positive work environment that is centred around our core values; Own it, Aim High and Be True!
“I’d like to thank everyone at the Chamber of Commerce for this honour and send our congratulations to the other award winners and runners-up. We are extremely proud to know that we are shaping the future for communities and businesses across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.”
