This application note shows that the Epsilon 3XLEL – a benchtop energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer - is capable of analyzing heavy metal contaminants like As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn in soil samples prepared as pressed powders.
The Epsilon 3XLEis capable of analyzing heavy metal contaminants in soils to the limits that are currently regulated in Europe. Measurements are accurate and precise and the method benefits from simple, essentially hazard-free, sample preparation.
