In this two-part series Malvern Panalytical and Netzsch come together to introduce the basics of characterizing battery slurries via rheometry and particle sizing solutions. Physical properties of particles such as size, shape and zeta potential will be introduced alongside their influence on the rheological properties such as viscosity and viscoelasticity.

Please join us for our short talks and virtual lab tour as we introduce particle sizing and rheometry technologies on 3rd December. The second part will take place on 27th January. This presentation by Torsten Remmler (Netzsch) and Mark Wingfield (Malvern Panalytical) will introduce the relationship between rheological properties and particles in battery slurries. Torsten will be discussing how to characterize the viscosity of a battery slurry using a rotational rheometer. The physical properties of the particles in the slurry can also play an important role in influencing the rheology and these will be presented by Mark Wingfield.
