Parcours de carrière
Dr. König joined Malvern Panalytical in 2005 from the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, where he received his Ph.D. under Prof. Dr. Dr. Herbert Pöllmann in mineralogy and geology. His research focused on the quantification of iron ores (for what he spends several months at the UFPA (Universidade Federal do Para) in Belem, Brazil) and on the synthesis and characterization of manganeous layered double hydroxides (LDHs).
Recherche & expertise
Dr. König has particular interest and expertise in X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the Rietveld method. He believes in helping the mining and metals industry with new analytical solutions to ensure future commodity supply in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in international journals and is editor and author of a book about "Value of mineralogical monitoring for the mining and minerals industry".
