Get new instruments up and running faster with self-install

Jurgen explains the benefits of self-install of Malvern Panalytical Instruments

Launched in February 2019, self-installation empowers you and your teams to get new assets up running faster than ever. Available on selected instruments from the flagship Mastersizer and Zetasizer ranges, with self-installation you don’t have to wait for an engineer to visit your site.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we work. Organizations have had to innovate quickly to keep business moving and ensure a post-crisis growth pipeline. It’s forced us to reconsider how we interact with customers and suppliers, and how supply chains deliver products and services.

For some of our customers, vital purchases of new instruments have had to be put on hold due to travel and/or social distancing restrictions. One of the simplest ways we can support you and help keep your business moving forward, whilst protecting our people and yours, is with our self-install initiative.

How does it work?

It’s simple. We send you everything you need to get started, including a link to a series of bite-size video guides that walk you through each step of the process from unboxing, through set-up to verification. All you need is a computer with internet access in order to watch the videos.

Self-installation is not only the fastest way to set up a new instrument, it’s also an excellent training opportunity, allowing you to get hands-on with your system and better understand how it works.

The tried-and-tested online resources have been designed to help you overcome any hurdles. Many customers have successfully self-installed new instruments over the past year, and we’ve only had positive feedback from customers. But of course, our expert team of engineers is only ever a phone call or email away should you need them.

Exclusive e-learning content

Once your new instrument is up and running, you’ll be able to access an exclusive e-learning course. Available for 15 months from delivery of your instrument, the course provides you with a comprehensive introduction to your instrument, so that you and you team can start making good quality measurements with confidence.

This course is available exclusively to customers performing self-installation of a new instrument and is provided at no extra cost when you choose to self-install.

Looking ahead

Self-installation is currently available on selected Mastersizer and Zetasizer instruments and our team is working hard to make more systems available for self-installation over the coming months.

While self-installation of your new system is a great tool to help maintain business continuity through these challenging and uncertain times, we believe it’s here to stay. When you choose to self-install, you can get new instruments up and running faster and access exclusive training materials; the advantages of that speed and training will far outlast this crisis.
