Christmas Jumper Day 2019

Following the huge success of Christmas Jumper day in Malvern over the past few years, we got into the festive spirit once again last Friday. I think it is safe to say we have created a festive tradition here, along with raising money for a good cause.

A real hero collects money

To ask for attention and to take action for children in war zones, especially around Christmas time, Save the Children declared December 13, 2019 as Christmas Jumper Day 2019. The colleagues from Malvern, UK, and Almelo, the Netherlands joined together in wearing a Christmas Jumper to help children in need.

There were reindeers, lights, loads of snowflakes and there was even an elf outfit in aid of Save the Children! This way we collected money for children who can use our help very well! By raising as much money as possible, we can provide a child in a war zone with a warm meal, clothing, blankets, shelter and reunification with family. In short: a chance to survive. Doesn’t every child in the world deserve that?

This is what your money is worth

A small contribution already makes a big difference:
• € 3.50 = warm woolen socks for 3 children in a refugee camp in Lebanon
• € 20 = 200 water purification tablets for clean drinking water
• € 35 = a 10-week treatment with Plumpy’Nut for a malnourished child to be strengthened in Somalia
• € 80 = temporary care for a child who has lost his family
