Meet the chairman of the board of ASTM International

After many years of collaborating on standard development with ASTM International, Taco van der Maten has been appointed as chairman of the Board of Directors of ASTM International. We are proud of this important assignment for Taco, which he will manage on top of his role as Marketing Manager at Malvern Panalytical.

About Taco

Taco van der Maten has a chemical analytical background and worked in the petrochemical and polymer industry for almost 20 years. He joined Malvern Panalytical (PANalytical at that time) in Almelo, the Netherlands, in 2006 and currently holds the position of Marketing Manager for the Petrochemical and Polymer industries. Next to being a Director of ASTM International for the past six years, he is also Chairman of ASTM committee F40 on regulated substances in materials, and a member of ASTM committee D20 on Plastics, committee D02 on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants and committee D32 on catalysts.
