How was EPDiC17?

What a location! If only all conferences and exhibitions could be in such a stunning location. The conference was held in Šibenik – an emerging star of the Croatian Adriatic coast. It was stunning, and the sun was shining!

After two postponements caused by the pandemic, we were so happy to be back at an in-person conference to share our insights as well as learn from the world of Academia.

We hosted 2 sessions throughout the conference, both of which were hosted by Fabio Masiello – Group Product Manager – X-ray Diffraction.

Finally! After two long years of pandemic, it has been amazing to be again participating to a very well organized conference. Discussing with customers and prospects, presenting our new solutions, listening to high level scientific talks on a large variety of important topics, having the opportunity to recognize and prize the work done by high level scientists and students… and all of this is a stunning location! Well done to the organizers also for being able to successfully postpone the event and not fall in the trap of a remote version and looking forward to being there again in 2024 in Padova for the next EPDIC conference.

Fabio Masiello – Group Product Manager – X-ray Diffraction.

We also had the pleasure of promoting four posters which can all be viewed below:

Finally! We had the chance to present Mark Senn with his EPDIC award during the event. Mark has patiently waited for this award, so Thank You Mark and Well Done from all at Malvern Panalytical.

Stjepan Prugovecki Segment Marketing Manager – Academia & Research, presenting Mark Senn with his EPDiC Award.

We were also happy to present a poster prize to Morten Johansen for his poster, MS1-P7: Electrochemical driven disordering of monoclinic distorted VO2 as cathode in Li-ion batteries. Well Done Morten!

Fabio Masiello – Group Product Manager – X-ray Diffraction. presenting Morten Johansen his award for best poster in his category!

There were lots of discussions about the Malvern Panalytical Scientific Award 2022, so we would like to remind you all that this award is still open!  Closing Date: September 30, 2022

Have you published outstanding research using a Malvern Panalytical solution? Send it in, and our scientists will select the best one to win €5,000!

What is EPDiC

The European Powder Diffraction Conference, EPDiC, is a biennial conference dedicated to all aspects of the analysis of polycrystalline materials by diffraction methods. Each EPDiC has the aim to highlight the latest developments in powder diffraction including methodology, data analysis and instrumental advances. EPDiC traditionally brings together scientists from institutes, universities and instrumentation companies to discuss the progress in academic and industrial research related to powder diffraction.
