Calling all protein scientists!
In case you missed it!
In September 2012, Malvern presented a webinar hosted by C&EN on the:
“Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Proteins”
Here, we talked about the most recent developments in light scattering analysis and related techniques for the characterization of proteins and formulations. Focusing on specific examples, we showed you how chromatography coupled light scattering could be used to confirm oligomeric states, obtain structural information and investigate conformation changes. If your interest was in formulation development, we also included examples of how stability predictors, such as the second virial coefficient, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) interaction parameter and aggregation point, could be used to optimize protein formulations.

During the webinar we received some very interesting questions from the audience. Unfortunately we could not answer them all on air, so we decided to take a selection of the most popular questions and put a blog series together. Don’t miss this great opportunity to read relevant, bite-size information about protein characterization! In the first instalment of the blog series, we will examine the pursuit of perfect data in the dynamic light scattering correlation function.
