Particle size is a critical control parameter in many different industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, coatings, and mining. Particle size distribution plays a major role in determining the performance of the end product, so producing the correct particle size distribution is vital in those processes. As a result, PAT (Process Analytical Technologies) are essential both for real-time Quality Control and for process understanding and development. This presentation introduces the Spatial Filter Velocimetry technology (SFT) for inline particle size measurement in granulation and fluidized bed processes.
