Seminar Series Australia – The Illumination of Structure using Light Scattering
ATA Scientific Pty Ltd, distributor of Malvern Instruments products throughout Australia, will be an active exhibitor at the upcoming Lorne Proteins Conference (9th – 13th February). An informative 1 hour workshop, entitled “The illumination of protein structure using light scattering” will be given by me, Michael Caves, from 1.30 – 2.30 pm on the 10th, and a poster on the same subject will be presented. Following this, ATA host a seminar series on the use of light scattering technologies to probe the structure of polymers and proteins from 13th – 18th February. I will be presenting in Australia’s 3 biggest cities and the series promises to be useful to anyone seeking to learn about Malvern’s range of light scattering technologies.
Are you interested in using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) to assess the size purity of your samples?
Do you use Static Light Scattering (SLS) in combination with a separative technique to measure absolute molecular weight?
Are you interested in measuring the conformation and charge-state, as well as the size and mass, of your molecules?
If so, make sure not to miss this opportunity to learn how Malvern Instruments can provide solutions for all these problems – and more.
With the necessity of orthogonal analysis to the solving of problems across a wide range of industries becoming increasingly well understood, the seminars will describe how data acquired using different techniques can be compared in order to generate novel information, and how high-resolution information can be acquired. Comparison of SLS and DLS data, for instance, allows a unique assessment of molecular conformation, whilst interaction parameters derived from three different light scattering techniques can be used to predict solution stability.
Participation is free of charge however it is essential to register. You can register by completing the registration form on the ATA Scientific website, or by sending ATA an email with your details to enquiries@atascientific.com.au.
