OmniSEC GPC software Download
How to get the latest OmniSEC GPC software
One of the new developments at the Malvern exhibit at Pittcon is the OMNISEC system. If you are in New Orleans, come by our booth 3545 and take a look. We have already talked with quite a few existing users of our TDA and 270 systems. Did you know that the latest sofware version for our GPC / SEC systems is available for download from our website?
Where can I find and download the latest version of the OnniSEC software?
How to update your OmniSEC software:
Quick answer: OmniSEC software version 5.10
Did you know that once you purchase a copy of Malvern’s OmniSEC software you can upgrade to the latest version for free whenever you want? Most of our users didn’t know that either. And furthermore, most people don’t know where to look. Keeping your software up-to-date allows you to take advantage of the latest tools and features and maximize the user experience.
To find the latest version of the OmniSEC software, first head to the Malvern website. Second, click the Support link on the top menu and select Software downloads.
Next, scroll down near the bottom of the page and click on the Viscotek range.
On the Viscotek range page, select the system or detector that you currently use. If you are unsure about the instrument model you use, visit this page for assistance. Once you land on the appropriate product page, select the Manuals and software tab.
Scroll down below the product manuals (including the documents for Malvern’s GPC/SEC columns – always handy!) to reach the software updates for your product. The current version of the software will be highlighted at the top. Additionally, older versions are still available for download. Simply click on the Download update link for the desired software version.
You’ll be directed to a second page where you can read and agree to the terms and conditions, and then download the *.exe file.
If you haven’t already logged in, at this point you will be prompted to log in to the Malvern website. If you are not already registered, you can sign up for free.
Once the file has downloaded and you’re ready to install there is one thing you should do first. Open your current version of OmniSEC, go to Help → About OmniSEC and write down the Product Registration Key. This key determines what parts of the software are accessible and will be used in your updated version of OmniSEC. Most likely, the new version will automatically read the Product Registration Key from your previous version of the software and you will not have to re-enter it, however it is a good idea to keep the Product Registration Key written down in a safe place!
Once you’ve written down your Product Registration Key, open the OmniSECsetup.exe file and follow the instructions. Installing the new version of OmniSEC will not change, edit, delete or affect your data in any way. Additionally, you can keep both versions of the software installed on your computer if you choose to use the older version for specific tasks. The transition for system operation and data work-up on the new version of the software should be seamless. Enjoy!
If you run any into problems or need help, then don’t hesitate to contact your local help desk.
