Rapid and easy identification of polyolefin types using FingerPrint software

Many different types of polyolefins – polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) – are not easily distinguishable with the naked eye. This data sheet demonstrates the Epsilon 4 FingerPrint software module using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis, to distinguish and recognize several different PP and PE types and grades.

This can be useful for distinguishing if polymers are produced by the same or different producers, supporting claim acceptance. As a regular elemental XRF analysis can be performed together with PCA, your benefit is two analyses at the same time.
