Instruments in the Zetasizer family are used to measure the particle size of dispersed systems from sub-nanometer to several micrometers in diameter, using the technique of Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS). Zetasizer systems are also used to analyze particle mobility and charge (Zeta potential) using the technique of Electrophoretic Light Scattering (ELS), and the molecular weight of particles in solution using Static Light Scattering (SLS).
The Zetasizer is available as the Zetasizer Advance range of laboratory benchtop systems (successor to the popular Nano range).

We use this device to measure the size, dispersity and surface charge of nanoparticles. The Software is straightforward and user-friendly. The instrument is ultimate, small and portable. The combination of this device with the new autosampler developed by Malvern is a great idea to increase the efficiency of the device and save the user time.
