Christmas Jumper Day!

Here at Malvern Instruments we take corporate social responsibility very seriously and have been involved in several charity events this year, both as a company and as individuals, so when we heard about Christmas Jumper Day we naturally ‘jumped’ at the chance to join in!

Christmas Jumper Day was organised by ITV Text Santa, which is an annual appeal run by the television channel ITV to raise money for charities that offer hope and support to families both here in the UK and abroad. The basic premise was to dress festively on Friday 18th December and donate money in return. ITV Text Santa shared the money equally between their three nominated charities: Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Support and Make-A-Wish UK.

We had a big turnout, although to be honest here at Malvern we have no qualms about embracing the Christmas spirit – there have been decorations up and Christmas jumpers worn around the office on a Friday for several weeks now! On Christmas Jumper Day we had the usual reindeer, snowmen, and Santa adorned jumpers, but we also had some gingerbread men, elves, and outfits that lit up or played music. There was even a Christmas t-shirt – very practical in this unseasonably mild weather!

Good fun was had by all, and we raised over £62 in the process for a worthy cause.

On behalf of everyone here at Malvern Instruments I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
