Zetasizer Equivalent Models between the Nano and Advance Series
The full Zetasizer Advance Range was introduced in 2020 for measuring particle size, zeta potential, and molecular weight of dispersed nanomaterials via Dynamic, Electrophoretic, and Static Light Scattering (DLS, ELS, and SLS, respectively). We have taken great strides to improve on the well-known Zetasizer Nano Series.
How the Legacy Nano Models compare to the new Advance Series:
The equivalent to the Zetasizer Nano ZS90 is the Zetasizer Lab – Blue Label.
The equivalent to the Zetasizer Nano ZS is the Zetasizer Pro – Blue Label.
The equivalent to the Zetasizer Nano ZSP is the Zetasizer Pro – Red Label.
How do you choose the appropriate Zetasizer?
Please check out the blog on Which Zetasizer should you choose from the new advanced series. This blog highlights the new Zetasizer Advance Selector Tool.
How do you transfer methods from the Nano to the Advance series?
This Technical Note on method transfer from the Zetasizer Nano to Advance series discusses the following:
- Hardware differences
- Cell compatibility
- Sample analysis
- Setting up methods
- Interpreting results
- Considerations for sample preparation procedures

Point of clarification: Blue, Red? What do these colors mean?
These colors do NOT refer to the laser wavelength. They refer to to the laser power with the Blue having 4 mW and the Red having 10 mW.
