Why is this a big deal?
Over past few years Malvern Panalytical compliance and data integrity experts have been working on new solution for regulated environment – OmniTrust. It corresponds to the latest requirements from the authorities like the FDA and allows our customers to work a way that complies both to regulations like 21 CFR Part 11 as well as their own company workflows without compromise and minimizing risk. This solution helps to improve data integrity as well as making working in a regulated environment much more efficient than before. Multiple product lines within Malvern Panalytical portfolio already make use of this modern solution: Zetasizer, Empyrean and Aeris Compact XRD.
The current regulated environment solution for Mastersizer is well known, robust and trustworthy. Many of its features have been implemented into OmniTrust. However, there are also a couple of new features that Mastersizer will get after entering the OmniTrust family.
One of the most important functions of OmniTrust is Central Management, which enables users to centrally set up multiple instruments in the same way, according to company workflow. This saves time and ensures that everyone is working in the same way. Centrally collected audit trails from multiple instruments can be viewed as one, which makes both internal and external audits much smoother. In addition, users can have access to audit trails from different types of instruments in one place. This allows users to trace how particular samples were analyzed by various techniques (e.g. LD and XRD for example) and get a more complete history of the samples being characterized.
We believe that a common regulated environment solution will revolutionize the way we work in regulated environment, simplifying user workflows and providing new insights in data analytics.
