Malvern Scientist presents at Nanomaterial Imaging and Sizing workshop

We were invited to the Nano Research Facility workshop taking place this week in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Starting off Session II on Nanomaterial Sizing, Dr. Ana Morfesis will present her contribution on “Nanoparticle Size Measurements by Dynamic Light Scattering” at 10:00am in Bauer Hall.
The afternoon Session III is titled “Hands-on experience for Transmission electron Microscope (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), and Brunauer Emmet Teller (BET) “
For the DLS part, a Zetasizer Nano will be available for sample analysis and data interpretation. Attendees, especially from WUSTL, are encouraged to join and participate with a free sample analysis and training for the Zetasizer. Each attendee can bring a maximum of 2 samples. The session ends at 5:30pm
- Ideal would be at least 40µl of sample (for ZEN0040 cuvette) and 1-2mL makes it even easier (using the standard disposable polystyrene DTS0012 cuvette)
- Bring some diluent, in case the sample is concentrated and requires dilution
- If you want to prepare the sample in a cuvette, go ahead
