European MicroCal Users Meeting

It was great to see so many customers in Munich for the European MicroCal User Meeting. People traveled from all over the continent for what turned out to be a very informative and informal meeting.

We had talks on a wide range of applications from groups studying biological pathways through to those involved in maximizing stability of biotherapeutic drugs. It was also great to hear about the increasing uptake of the technology in areas such as enzyme kinetics, lipid/micellar systems and indeed the recent advances in measuring on and off rates in an Isothermal Titration Calorimetry.

For me, the highlight was the ‘easy’ interaction of all the delegates.  The atmosphere was one of approach-ability and was very conducive to the open exchange of ideas and provided an excellent environment for new users to ask questions of the more experienced practitioners!
