About Natalia Markova

Natalia Markova holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of Chemical Technology, Ivanovo, Russia, and another PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Lund, Sweden. 

Natalia has extensive experience in the academic and industrial applications of differential and isothermal microcalorimetry, thermal analysis, dynamic light scattering, analytical ultracentrifugation and surface plasmon resonance. 

Over the last 14 years, she has worked within drug discovery and biopharmaceutical development, and is currently Head of Science for the Pharmaceutical and Food sector at Malvern Panalytical.

Career pathway

Natalia has worked in drug discovery and biopharmaceutical development as Senior Scientist at Structural Chemistry department of Pharmacia-Biovitrum in Stockholm and Head of Biophysics at the Structural Genomics Consortium, Karolinska Institute. 

She was a co-founder of Biophysical facility at a contract research organization iNovacia where she worked as Associate Director. 

Prior to joining Malvern Panalytical in 2014 Natalia held a global position of Senior Customer Relation Manager at GE Healthcare Life Sciences. 

At Malvern Panalytical Natalia continues working on the development and applications of label-free technologies as Head of Science for the Pharmaceutical and Food sector.
